Founder and visionary
Christian Völkers is the founder of the Engel & Völkers Group. In 1977, he founded the business with his friend and business partner, Dirk Engel, and turned Engel & Völkers into a global brand in the premium sector. Christian Völkers put together the Engel & Völkers bible that became the foundation of the worldwide successful franchise system and the in-house real estate academy. In 1988, he founded the in-house publishing company, Grund Genug, and the architecture and lifestyle magazine of the same name. Christian Völkers, visionary and strategic thinker, continued to further develop an innovative range of real estate business concepts.
For over 45 years, it has been my top priority to strengthen Engel & Völkers on an international scale and to drive innovation in real estate services. We refine the position of Engel & Völkers as an industry pioneer in the luxury segment, and have established our company to be the leading platform for real estate agents.
